The washed out colors and the dreary-ness of the image is very haunting, and depressing, but I'm assuming that is what you where going for with this photograph. Usually photos are taken with the subject more to the side, and usually that is more effective, but in this case, I think the centering of the bridge is perfect. I definitely get a sense of desolation when I see this. I don't really have anything to help you in improve considering that I don't know much about photography, but I hope this helps you out by pointing out the strong points of this excellent capture.
